Patrick Breiner’s Colloquial Quartet:

Patrick Breiner – tenor saxophone and clarinet
Brennan Connors –soprano saxophone and flute
Nick Moran – bass
Geoff Brady – drums, marimba, percussion

Breiner’s Colloquial Quartet is Madison’s most exciting improvising ensemble. The CQ was initially conceived as a vessel through which to interpret Dave Holland’s classic “Conference of the Birds” recording. They have, however, left their interpretive roots by the wayside in order to focus on brand new compositions by Breiner and Brady. This concert will feature new music by both, and is sure to blow your friggin’ mind.
